Mount Murray Golf Club, Wentworth Suite

Speaker

Steve Woodford, an Oxford-educated mathematician, will be looking at the critical role mathematics plays in all of our lives. What can the latest statistics tell us about our chances of living a long and prosperous life and what we can do to shift the odds in our favour? How can the latest modelling techniques give some businesses a significant advantage and why you need know nothing about mathematics to reap the same results?

Microgaming Health & Care Trust

Established in 2002, and until April 2009 previously called the Hospital Trust, the Health & Care Trust has to date, supported over 50 local charities. The overall remit of the Trust is to support public services and charitable organisations within the Isle of Man where the outcome will benefit the wider community and not specific individuals.

While the Health & Care Trust does not seek funding from the public, its sole benefactor, Microgaming, has, as a result of its overall commitment to the Isle of Man as a place to live and work, donated substantial amounts each year to the Trust. This funding has provided assistance in the purchase of medical equipment, and has also been available to support charities that require extra funding in order to meet their particular needs.

A website is currently being developed for the Trust on which information about the Trust, projects it has supported, online application and latest lifestyle and health news will be available.

Online registration for this event is now available. Please register now as our events are frequently over subscribed. Your place will be confirmed by email as soon as possible. As always, Manx Business Connecion promises to provide an evening that will be both informative and entertaining.
